Tuition fees

1. APPLICATION FEE

  • The non-refundable Application Fee is $50.
  • This fee covers an interview with a member of the GIT Faculty, which takes place each year prior to August 1st.
  • The Training Program and the One Year Gestalt Training Program for Professionals require a personal interview.
  • The interview for The Experiential Year program is conducted by telephone.

2. METHODS OF PAYMENT

  • Tuition fees can be paid by cheque, debit card, cash, Mastercard, Visa or American Express.
  • Failure to meet payments by due date will result in a review of the student’s status in The Training Program.

Tuition fees for The Training Program and the One-Year Gestalt Training Program for Professionals are eligible for tax receipts in accordance with Human Resources Development Canada, for the sole purpose of Section 118.5 and 118.6 of the Income Tax Act, as a designated institution providing courses, (other than courses designed for university credit) that furnish a person with skills for, or improve a person’s skills in a recognized occupation. Receipts are issued each February.

3. TUITION FEE SCHEDULE

The Personal Training Program, Year 1 and Year 2

$3,300 per year with two payment options:

  • Installment 1: $900 payable by August 1st to confirm acceptance, of which $100 is non-refundable.
  • Installment 2: $2,400 balance payable by September 1st.

OR

  • Installment 1: $900 payable by August 1st to confirm acceptance, of which $100 is non-refundable.
  • Installment 2: $800 plus $100 Administration Fee for extended payment payable by September 1st, accompanied by a cheque, credit card authorization, or debit card/cash confirmation for:
  • Installment 3: $800 post-dated to Noveber 1st.
  • Installment 4: $800 post-dated to February 1st.

The Professional Training Program, Year 3 and Year 4

$3,550 per year with two payment options:

  • Installment 1: $900 payable by August 1st to confirm acceptance, of which $100 is non-refundable.
  • Installment 2: $2,650 payable by September 1st.

OR

  • Installment 1: $900 payable by August 1st to confirm acceptance, of which $100 is non-refundable.
  • Installment 2: $950 plus $100 Administration Fee for extended payment payable by September 1st, accompanied by a cheque, credit card authorization, or debit card/cash confirmation for:
  • Installment 3: $850 post-dated to November 1st.
  • Installment 4: $850 post-dated to February 1st.

Dependent upon qualifications and credits, students may enter program in different semesters. Tuition Fees will be pro-rated based on the annual tuition fee.

One-Year Gestalt Training Program for Professionals
$2300 per year, payable as follows:

  • Installment 1: $600 payable by September 1st to confirm acceptance, of which $100 is non-refundable.
  • Installment 2: Balance of payment, $1700, due October 1st.

4. REFUND POLICY

  • Withdrawal from the GIT Programs detailed above requires written notice addressed to the Head of Faculty.
  • Refund amounts are dependent on the date of withdrawal; there is a $300 administration fee charged to all withdrawals.
  • If a notice of withdrawal from The Training Program is received by October 15th, a student will receive a full refund minus administration fees
  • If a notice of withdrawal from the The Training Program is received by November 30th, the student will receive a refund of 50% of their full tuition fees. For the One Year Gestalt Training for Professionals Program must be received by November 30th.
  • An Administration Fee of $300 is charged to all withdrawals.
  • There will be no refunds issued if notice is not received by November 30th.

5. MATERIALS FEE

Year 1 students should anticipate a materials fee of not more than $50.

6. RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM

  • Fees for the Residential portion of The Training Program, held each May and June ARE NOT INCLUDED in the Tuition Fees outlined above.
  • Accommodation Fee of $475 for five-day Residential Program includes: double accommodation, all meals, and Graduation Dinner.
  • Fees for the May Residential are payable by March 30th.
  • Fees for the June Residential are payable by April 30.
  • Annual Tuition Fees must be paid in full in order to attend the Residential Programs
  • Rate for weekend guests to be determined by February of each year.
  • Travel arrangements are the responsibility of the individual.
