GIT Student Clinic
Who We Are
|
The Gestalt Institute of Toronto was established in 1973 and the Student Clinic has evolved to become an integral part of the Five Year training program since that time. There are over 30 student therapists working in the clinic at any given time, overseen by two Clinic Coordinators, Ming Wu and Leila Shenouda and a Clinic Team, and supervised by Jay Tropianskaia, Director of Training. Gestalt therapy is an approach to personal transformation that invites a fuller presence and awareness of the here and now, thus allowing you the possibility of more excitement, energy and courage to live your life directly. People come to Gestalt therapy seeking support in times of challenge and transition, a desire to explore unfinished business, find creative solutions in relationships, and to decrease levels of fear and anxiety. Our services are currently available only online due to the pandemic, and prior to this were available in-person across the GTA and other locations including Thornhill, Mississauga, Burlington and Guelph. Student therapists at the Gestalt Student Clinic are available for sessions during the day, evenings and weekends. Some of our student therapists can provide therapy in languages other than English, so please inquire. The cost of therapy through the Student Clinic is $40.00 per 50 minute session. |
