Three Perspectives on The Process of Change in Psychotherapy

This seminar will provide an introduction to Jan Roubal’s Three perspectives model as well as an opportunity to work with a master Gestalt therapist and experience first hand the ongoing and ever changing way of participating in the psychotherapy situation. To Jan Roubal change is a process of its own dynamics that transcends both therapist and client.
You will learn to distinguish three common points of view of the Gestalt approach: the Field Theory Perspective, the Contextual Perspective and the Psychopathology Perspective. Modulation of therapists presence allows us to consciously take advantage of each of them and let them supplement each other to make the process of diagnosis a natural and necessary part of the therapeutic process.
Jan works on the leading edge of Gestalt therapy and research including his ground breaking work on the Gestalt approach to depression, how we present and think about case studies, the experiment, and simplifying the way we speak about field theory and phenomenology in the therapy session.
