Exploring Sexuality & Gender in The Therapeutic Situation

This online workshop offers an initial inquiry to explore how sexuality and gender emerge and are experienced within the therapeutic situation—not merely as identity categories or narratives, but as embodied field phenomena that arise in the shared relational space co-created between therapist and client.
Together, we will aesthetically inquire, immerse in some experiential exercise and dialogue, to explore how a field-centred, embodied approach allows us to engage more ethically, responsively, and creatively with sexuality and gender in the therapeutic space.
This workshop supports Gestalt psychotherapists in cultivating a deeper aesthetic sensitivity to lived experience and the co-emerging, animating body—particularly when engaging at the margins of normative gender and sexual identities. It invites a stance grounded in wonder over curiosity, humility over certainty, and co-emergence rather than directionality.
