Gestalt therapy has come a long way from the short and challenging Hot Seats of Fritz Perls, but what has not changed is the commitment to authenticity, to finding one’s honest voice in the presence of others. To be part of a Gestalt process group is to engage with your courage and your desire to know yourself through your ability to be heard and seen by others. Expect to find a new resiliency in your life situations, and a capacity to trust your own emotions and your body knowing. It is still said that Gestalt is not for the faint of heart. Gestalt Therapists Julie Devaney and Rob Whiteman invite you to join in a journey of discovery of self with others in a Gestalt process group. Registration is by interview.

Julie Devaney, RP, Alumni

Julie Devaneyis a Gestalt Psychotherapist in private practice. She brings a creative & often playful approach to the difficult and painful issues in client’s lives. For fifteen years, she provided trauma-informed workshops to support health care staff and patients in hospitals from St. John’s to Whitehorse, as well as the US and UK.

Rob Whiteman, RP, Alumni

Rob Whiteman is a Gestalt Psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, & groups in private practice. Starting with an education in business, Rob has over fifteen years of experience in the private sector which affords him the ability to understand complex and difficult interpersonal dynamics & systemic issues which people face in their daily lives. His approach as a “compassionate detective” helps distill the language and patterns people carry into functional, creative trauma-informed body work.
