Reaching Through Screens: Desire, Contact & Disconnection Online
Most of our daily interactions now happen through screens—texting, WhatsApp, FaceTime, and social media. Within these spaces, we often find ourselves wanting connection, and just as often pulling away from it. In this one day seminar, we will explore the movement between desire and disconnection as it unfolds in our online interactions—across romantic relationships, family, friendships, and work. Rather than focusing on changing our habits, we will notice how we reach out, hesitate, misread, withdraw, or remain silent—and what happens within us in those moments. Through simple experiments and group interaction, participants will be invited to track their own rhythm of coming toward and pulling away, and discover what becomes visible when we stay with the process without trying to fix it.
